A Few More Adds to the Garage...

Just a few more things from our S&B added to the garage.

 

 Took the glass off these 3 framed T-shirts.  They're "oldies but goodies"!

Staying in the Rig for a few days while the house is being tented.

 

George & the dogs.  Think this corner is a good spot for a small corner desk.  The fireplace is on for atmosphere...heat isn't on.

                                    

 This TV will go in the living room when we start full timing.  A smaller one will go in the bedroom.  We have a 26" one for the basement.

 

House tented.  Stays on for 2 days then EVERYTHING is dead.  Termites, spiders, etc. and any rodents (mice) or anything else that might be in there!

New Mattress!

We are having the house tented tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept 1, 2015 so we will be staying in the rig for a couple of days.

We knew we couldn't sleep on this mattress that came with it so we changed out the mattress from our guest bedroom.  The new one is a Sealy Posturepedic.  We were planning on a new mattress before we hit the road.  We'll see how this works out.

New Showerhead!

We are still trying to get the 5th wheel ready to live in.  We went to Camping World the other day to get a few things.  I found the Oxigenetics Showerhead.  A lot of people recommend this so thought we should get one.  The old one just dribbles water.

These are the small bulbs with the round base.  I didn't keep a picture of the bulb.

These bulbs were completely different than the other 2.  See the picture below.

All the bulbs we've switched out so far are much brighter than the originals.  Plus they don't put off any heat & are much less expensive to run.
We're looking for new LED fixtures for the fluorescent tube lights.  If we just change the bulbs there's some stuff we have to do to bypass the ballast.  We aren't electricians so don't even want to start that.  I've found fixtures online that are basically the same size and work just like the ones we have (8 fixtures),  The new fixtures run about $42 each but only have 2 wires to connect.  We can figure that out.  Will post pictures when that's done.  We'll start with 1 & go from there.
